Accessing our website
We're working towards complying with RNIB/WAI Level AA guidelines, which set out a number of principles that ensure we meet the needs of our visually impaired clients. These include:
- Using meaningful ALT text for all images and providing descriptive text of significant images
- Avoiding the use of FRAMES which are difficult for special browsers to interpret
- Providing text descriptions of multimedia content on our site
- Using descriptive link titles

Enlarging text instructions
Follow these steps to increase the text size on your screen when using some of the most common browsers and platforms.
There are two ways to do this:
- Changing your browser settings to increase the text size
- Changing the size and resolution of your screen.
Changing your browser settings to increase the text size
Follow these instructions to increase the text size using the most common browsers. Note that some pages will not render correctly in non-standard font sizes.
MS Internet Explorer 7 on Windows
- Select the Page menu
- Point to Text Size
- Select your choice of Largest, Larger, Medium, Smaller, Smallest text sizes.
MS Internet Explorer 6 on Windows
- From the menu bar, select the View menu
- Point to Text Size
- Select your choice of Largest, Larger, Medium, Smaller, Smallest text sizes.
Changing the size and the resolution of your screen
Reducing the resolution of your screen will increase the size of the text. To do this:
Windows
- From the start menu select Settings and Control Panel.
- In the Control Panel window, select Display, and then select the Settings tab.
- In the desktop area section of the Display Properties dialogue box, move the slider marker to the left. This will effectively increase the text size.
click 'OK 'to implement the changes.
